Let me introduce you to Smokey's girlfriend "Mrs. Kitty."
Smokey is the love of her life and she spends hours each day just snuggeling up to him. He is madly in love with her as well. They give each other baths and talk all the time.
We named her Mrs. Kitty. She came to us very under nourished and without a home. If fact she was a bit on the ugly side. She fell in love with Smokey and she can't go a day without him by her side. I didn't know cat's could love each other like humans love each other but they do. They share everything together. Breakfast lunch and dinner. They share their beds and they share their time spend in the sunshine together as well. It amazes me every day that I get to watch them loving each other.
Smokey was even there at the birth of her babies. Yep! I've always heard that male cats would kill the kittens after a birth if they can get close enough to them. Well not Smokey Cat. In fact he was within inches of Mrs. Kitty as she gave birth. He watched as all 5 beautiful kittens were born. He watched Mrs. Kitty wash and clean up each one. Every time one baby squealed he looked up at Mrs. Kitty as if to say... "Hey this one is squealing." then he would look up at me as if to say... "wow look at this miracle!" After it was all over, he lay down behind Mrs. Kitty and washed her eyes and ears and comforted her as she feed her babies for the first time. The both of them were purring up a storm.
