Happy National Breakfast Month! - Breakfast is the first meal of the day and did you know "The word Breakfast came about because it means breaking the fast after one has not eaten (fasted) since the night before."This holiday celebrates the many different types of Breakfast around the world.

National Breakfast Month is always the month of September and National Hot Breakfast Month is the month of February! Both of these holidays are celebrated in the United States but research shows that the U.S. is not the only one who celebrates breakfast hoidays. The UK celebrates Farmhouse Breakfast Week. This is an annual campaign that emphasises the importance of eating a healthy breakfast every day. 'Think Breakfast', the theme of 2009 encourages everyone to wake up to breakfast as part of a healthy balanced diet and active lifestyle. What does this holiday celebrate?
National Breakfast Month and National Hot Breakfast Month are commemorative holidays that are used by various governments, groups and organizations to raise awareness of breakfast, commemorate a group or event, or celebrate something.
This holiday is referred to as a "National" day, as all food holidays are- However, we did not find any congressional records or presidential proclamations for this day. Even though we didn't, this is still a holiday that is publicized to celebrate. So enjoy the day and have fun with it.
