Steps
Bake
- Get a cake mix and follow the instructions on the back of the box.
- Grease the pan. Pour half of the cake mix into a round cake pan.
- Put it into the oven and bake according to the back of the box.
- When finished baking, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 min.
- Put a platter (whatever you are going to serve it on) over the cake sitting on the cake pan. Hold it with your hand and very carefully flip the cake over and set it down. The bottom of the cake pan should be facing up. Tap the bottom of the pan to make sure the cake comes out. Then pick up the pan...be careful because some of the cake may be stuck to the pan still.
- Cut the cake in half. Put a blob of icing in the middle of one half. You can spread it around a little bit. Place the two halves together. The round edge of the cake should be up in the air and where you cut should be on the plate/platter.
- Ice the cake.
Decorate
- Take a marshmallow and put it on the back of the bunny for the tail (one of the thin sides)
- Take two more marshmallows and stick a chocolate chip in the small side of each one. Place these on the bunny for the eyes. ( You may want to use some icing to hold the choclate chips in.)
- Get some tooth picks or candy such as twizlers for whiskers. Stick them in another marshmallow for the nose and place on cake.
- Use construction paper or cardboard and cut out ears and place them ontop for bunny ears.
Tips
- Put a toothpick in between the two halves to help hold them together.
- Make the icing look more like fur by taking the knife and dab it or swirl the icing on the cake.
- Put some easter grass around it to make it look more in place. You can also place some easter eggs if it is an easter cake.
