You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life." Albert Camus
National Fettuccine Alfredo Day? (always February 7) - US Observance / Food Holiday
Fettuccine alfredo is a pasta dish made from fettuccine pasta tossed with Parmesan cheese and butter. As the cheese melts, it emulsifies the liquids to form a smooth and rich coating on the pasta. It was named by an Italian restaurateur at his restaurant Alfredo alla Scrofa in Rome. In US cuisine it may be mixed with other ingredients such as broccoli, parsley, cream, garlic, shrimp, and chicken.
Variations: "There are many modifications to the basic fettuccine alfredo which are used to lower the cost. Less expensive cheeses, such as U.S.-made Parmesan cheese, an imitation of Parmigiano-Reggiano, are often used; the cheese is sometimes mixed with flour as a thickener. Thickening can also be achieved by mixing the sauce with a small amount of Roux (flour and liquid butter or olive oil) as the liquid reaches boiling. Occasionally, other cheeses such as asiago and romano may be added to alter the flavor."
This Holiday is Celebrate by: Making and sharing a dinner of Fettuccine Alfredo.

Grenada (February 7) Declaration of independence from United Kingdom in 1974
"An Independence Day is an annual celebration commemorating the anniversary of a nation's assumption of independent statehood, usually after ceasing to be a colony or part of another state, more rarely after the end of a military occupation. Most countries honor their respective independence day as a national holiday and some countries or nations' independence-date honors are contested. Not all countries have independence days, instead they celebrate another national day."

The Blessed Pope Pius IX (13 May 1792 - 7 February 1878), born Giovanni Maria Mastai-Ferretti, was the longest reigning Pope in Church history, serving from 16 June 1846 until his death, a period of nearly 32 years. During his pontificate, he convened the First Vatican Council in 1869, which decreed Papal infallibility. The Pope defined the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, meaning that Mary was conceived without original sin and that she lived a life completely free of sin."
"Pius IX, who suffered from epilepsy, was beatified by Pope John Paul II on 3 September 2000. His Feast Day is 7 February."
