Who Can Hosts A Pig Party?
Who can host a pig party you ask? Well anyone can have fun hosting a pig party. In fact people who collect pigs are at the top of the list for pig parties. Piggish Birthday parties are popular for children and pig farmers. Zoos and other organizations have pig parties too. You don't have to be a kid for a pig party either. In fact!! Ladies love what we call "Pink As A Pig" afternoon teas. Why? Because so many ladies love the color pink and pink is the dominant color of dress and the food. First visit our party planning section where we help you decide the what, when, where
and why's of planning a party. We ask the questions to help you define your party
needs. What kind of party do you want to host? Do you want to host an Indoor party,
an outdoor party or a combination of the two like a garden party?
We make sure you know you have a lot of great choices.
Be aware that a pig party is a theme party. The theme is pigs so you want your party
to carry the pig theme throughout. You could start by sending pig or pink Invitations. Send by mail or send for free over the Internet. 123greeting has some great Internet Invitations. If it's a kids party then let the kids draw and color their own pig invitations.
Go Pink!
The color pink has always been associated with pigs so have a pink pig party. Ask everyone to wear pink or come in pig costumes. The ladies can wear pig headbands or wear their hair in a pig tail and the men can wear pig tails on their butt made of paper. You can do this by cutting a pink circle around and around toward the middle and then pining it on the back of everyone's pants. Hey it's all in fun. Serve pink lemonade, use pink plates and napkins, find some pink barn material and use as a tablecloth.
Easy Lunch or Brunch Party
For brunch or a plain lunch: It's easy to go with ham sandwiches or pork BBQ sandwiches
with chips.
Plan A Pig Out For Porkers Dinner
pig out for porkers dinner? Yep it's true! Every March 1st or somewhere near that
date; people from all over do pig outs and a popular way of doing that is with pig
pickins and pig roasts. You can do the same at your pig party. If a pig roast is not
for you then get outside and get to grilling! Nothing in the world taste like BBQ
grilling is not for you, then have a easy lunch or brunch party.
Party Food
Every party has cake or cupcakes and you have to go with a cake in the shape of a pig or a pigs head! We've even made a cake in the shape of a pigs butt with his curly tail sticking up. What a hit that was!! Try one... your guests will get a big kick out of it. If those idea are to tough.... then make it easy on yourself and go with a simple pink sheet cake that says something piggish like "Oink Oink."
• Top Snack: pork skins
• Top Veggies: Corn, corn and more corn!
• For kids: instead of pin the tail on the donkey, play pin the tail on the pig.
• Pig wrestling or "wrasslin' " (and its variants, hog wrestling and greased pig catching) is a type of game sometimes played at agricultural shows such as state and county fairs, in which contestants try to grab a slippery pig. In the most common version of the game, a team of four members chases a domestic pig around a fenced-off mud pit and attempts to place it in a barrel, in a race against the clock. Children too young to compete in this type of pig wrestling may compete in a greased pig chase, the object of which is to hang onto a greased pig for a certain amount of time. A more juvenile pig is often used for this competition. A greased pig chase is a sporting event in which a varying number of participants chase one or more pigs around a set area in a competition to see who can catch the pig first. Greased pig chases are very popular in the Southern United States. The most common venues include state and county fairs, fall festivals, and other rural gatherings. The event is closely related to Pig wrestling. read more at wiki
• Pig-racing is a sport in which juvenile pigs race around a small enclosed dirt, fake grass or gravel track. This racing is usually purely for entertainment, and betting is not part of it. It is often one of the attractions at county fairs.
• Pig Eating Contest: We like the idea of a pig in mud. Serve chocolate pudding in bowls to represent mud then see who can eat all the pudding first with their hand behind their back. Your guests will get a big laugh out of seeing everyone's face covered in chocolate.
If you like the idea of giving away a door prize to one lucky guest then it comes as no surprise that we would suggest a pig. Your options are pottery pigs, stuffed animals or even a real pig!
Crafty Ideas
The kids love to make pig snouts out of empty toilet paper rolls.
