Sun-Earth Day is a celebration established in 2000 by NASA and ESA. The purpose of the holiday is to popularize the knowledge about the Sun, and the way it influences life on the Earth.

When is Sun-Earth Day?
It is celebrated mostly in the USA on 18 March. In 2008, however, it took place on 20 March.

How To Celebrate Sun-Earth Day

2) - Celebrate with an outing in the sun!
• Outdoor picnics are a great way to celebrate the sun since picnics are outdoors.
• Grill Party down by the lake.
• Go fishing, boating, hiking or any other outdoor activity that lets you enjoy the sun and earth.
3) - Learn about the sun and earth
Take the family to the library and read about the sun and earth.
4) - Be Artistic
Go outside and let the kids draw and paint pictures of a sun filled day. Painting colorful flowers that grow by the sun is a good way of teaching them ways the sun influences life on earth. Hang them proudly on the frig. or wall.
If your in an art class; suggest you go outside on sun-earth day and celebrate by painting the sun and earth.
