Better yet, drag out the pizza stone and cutter, because today is the day to make your own homemade pizza dough and celebrate National Cheese Pizza Day the homemade way. That's right, invite all your friends and have the biggest cheese pizza block party you've ever had! You can't get any better than that!

Our research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day. We did however find that this holiday has been celebrated for years. There is plenty of documentation to support that this holiday does indeed exist. This is referred to as a "National" day as all food holidays are. However, we did not find any congressional records or presidential proclamations for this day. Even though, this is still a holiday to celebrate.

What is a cheese pizza?
Cheese Pizza is a pizza with lots of cheese! ( or , in Italian: is a world-popular dish of Italian origin, made with an oven-baked, flat, generally round bread that is often covered with tomatoes or a tomato-based sauce and mozzarella cheese. Other cheese varieties are added according to region, culture, or personal preference.
